Getting started

On the app home, click Turn on in theme editor. The theme editor opens App embeds on a product page with Product image zoom switched on; click Save. No theme code is changed.
Open any product on your store and click (or tap) its image. The zoom view opens with the image in a sharp, large size.
Under Settings, choose where zoom works (product pages, featured product sections), the zoom button, and on Pro hover zoom, the gallery, pinch-zoom, zoom strength, lens and colours.
If your theme has its own zoom, the app home shows a Your theme's own zoom card with the steps to switch it off for your theme.

What shoppers get

Mouse: click the image to open the zoom view, click where you want to zoom in, move the mouse to look around, click again to see the whole image.
Touch: tap the image to open the zoom view, then tap to zoom in and drag to look around. On Pro: pinch, double-tap and swipe between images.
Keyboard: Tab to the zoom button on the image and press Enter. In the zoom view: plus and minus zoom, arrow keys move the zoomed image (or change images when not zoomed), 0 resets, Escape closes and returns focus to the image.
Screen readers hear the image description, its position ("Image 2 of 5") and the zoom level.
Shoppers who ask their device for reduced motion get no zoom animations.
Text follows your store's language for English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch and Portuguese.

Themes

The app finds the product gallery in Horizon and Dawn and in themes built like them, including the gallery your theme re-draws when a shopper picks a variant. On other themes it zooms the large product images on the product page.
If your product images don't zoom, enter the CSS selector of the gallery images under Settings → Advanced (for example .product-gallery img), or email us your theme's name.
Theme zoom: with "Use this app's zoom" (the default) the app takes over clicks on product images, so shoppers never see two zooms. With "Keep the theme's zoom" it leaves galleries that have the theme's zoom alone.
Nothing on your pages moves: the zoom button sits on top of the image, hover zoom is drawn above the page, and the zoom view opens above everything.

Plans

Free: click and tap zoom on every product image (2.5× zoom), keyboard and screen reader support, Horizon, Dawn and most themes; a small "Powered by Mint Product Image Zoom" line shows in the zoom view. Pro ($3.99 / month, 7-day free trial): hover zoom on computers (inside the image or a lens), a full-screen gallery of every product image with arrows, swipe and thumbnails, pinch-zoom and double-tap on phones, zoom strength from 1.5× to 4×, lens shape and size, background and button colours, no "Powered by" line. Plans are managed on Shopify's plan page (Plans → Choose a plan / Manage plan) and billed by Shopify.

Changing plans never deletes anything: your Pro settings are kept and come back when you upgrade again.

Privacy
